Johnnie Walker, one of the oldest and most internationally well-known whisky brands was looking to revitalise its online presence within the HK market through creative and interactive content and campaigns.

 

Strategy

Voltage X organised and carried out a tactical influencer campaign which encompassed a 3-day bar-hopping event for the annual bartending competition – World Class. Lifestyle KOLs were invited to engage with the brand’s F&B partners as well as to broaden Johnnie Walker Hong Kong’s steadily growing fan base. To bring this global brand closer to the local target audience, Voltage X developed engaging and share-worthy social content to engage both Facebook and Instagram followers.

 

Key Result

As a result, by adapting the latest Instagram Stories interactive functions, we successfully raised the audience’s interest in the brand legacy and fun facts. Johnnie Walker Hong Kong’s Instagram followers grew over 35% and the Facebook posts reached over 170K target audience. We also examined Johnnie Walker’s target audience and purchasing behaviour, which were insightful for future digital strategy developments.
